Good morning. I am sad to report, I saw my shadow. Six more weeks of winter. We have already had 67 inches of snow in Ludington. Some parts of Michigan are over 100 inches of snow this year so far. It is 25°F this morning, a regular heat wave after the frigid weather we have had.

If she buys steak it’s, “Must be nice. I can’t even afford that.” If she buys snacks it’s, “Food stamps shouldn’t cover junk.” If she buys name brand it’s, “That’s my tax dollars.” If she buys generic it’s, “Figures.” Damned if you do. Damned if you don’t. Here’s the truth nobody wants to admit: People on food stamps are allowed to enjoy nice things too. They’re allowed to buy steak once in a while.
