Last night I aped into BTCB2, aka the BIP-110 hard fork of BTC. Why? Because everyone hates on it constantly, yet it's supporters are insanely devoted to it. I've noticed alot of times in crypto, the most hated on projects will pump the hardest when you least expect it (like ZEC did).
Funnily enough I believe someone already managed to put NSFW JPEG inscriptions on BTCB2, so I'm not sure what the whole point of the fork was other than to split the Bitcoin community.
Although, to be fair to the BIP 110ers (some of whom I like, although Luke is a statist asshole with a messiah complex), some of their complaints about Bitcoin are legitimate. Mining centralization is a problen and the suits have managed to make the store of value use case win out over using Bitcoin as money. I prefer when BTC is used as an alternative currency instead of an "investment". But I don't understand why BIP 110ers want to solely focus on Bitcoin as money while simultaneously rejecting bigger blocks.
