I hope my friends in Mexico make it through this. Violence has erupted across the country between the cartels and the government who just used US support and intelligence to kill El Mencho the leader of Mexico's largest drug cartel on Sunday. If you watch the video there are some clips of some of the cartel forces and they are very well trained and well equipped. Turns out cartel forces have recieved training from US Special Forces in the past AND cartel members have gone to Ukraine to receive training on combat drone operations, courtesy of US taxpayers. Every person that dies in this violence is a direct consequence of US Foreign Policy and their War on Drugs that has been forced upon the entire world over the past century. The Mexican Government was pressured into taking out El Mencho due to threats from the Trump Administration. If we really wanted to stop the cartels reign of terror, we would legalize drugs. The war on drugs has created more harm than the drugs themselves. The fentanyl epidemic itself was caused by drug prohibition. Imagine what Mexico and other countries would be like today if they hadn't been destabilized by drug prohibition related crime. I even doubt there would of been any "immigration crisis" in the United States if we hadn't created these ultra powerful criminal organizations with our demand for and prohibition of illegal drugs. https://ronpaulinstitute.org/whats-really-behind-mexicos-cartel-wars/
