@javabu.eth set up an incentive program in 2024 that used his $DEGEN allocation to pay a selected group of casters to cast quality content. This is what made me keep coming back to Farcaster initially.
Eventually when the Degen tipping allocations got nerfed he launched $BUSTER to reward top casters.
Getting rewarded just for sharing my slightly unconventional views on political issues made Farcaster enjoyable for me and led me to discover other cool channels and projects simply by being present. I probably would of left early on without this /politics reward mechanism.
