Spending few days at my childhood home, going through old boxes my mom kept for decades. Found school notebooks, medical records… and this piece of history. I worked briefly at a bank during Argentina’s “corralito” (For those unfamiliar: to stop a massive bank run, the government imposed strict cash withdrawal limits while the currency was devalued.). Every day we received new rules limiting withdrawals while people lost their savings. I had to tell angry (and rightfully so) clients they couldn’t access their own money. One of my first jobs. 🫠 That’s why I’m so bullish on crypto. I deeply believe in the separation of money and state.
