The world is better with Bitcoin because it gave people like me living far from the ‘centers of power’ (Nigeria) a real sense of financial independence for the first time. Most of us here grew up watching how quickly money can be controlled, frozen, or devalued, and how ordinary people always pay the price. Bitcoin didn’t magically fix everything, but it created an option, an escape hatch, cos it is the first time money felt like it belonged to me, not a bank, or a government.
