Gyokeres gives the team something different though, that’s the point. They have Kai and Jesus who are totally different animals, to me you want different options available. Sesko has started to show some promise but this is a team trying to win the league and signing a proven player versus really still unknown kid wasn’t the move.
It made total sense to sign a player that gives a different option and lives for goals. He’s taken time to adjust to the step up in standard and a new team/league, but he’s now showing what he can do and has led the line admirably even when goals not flowing.
If this team gets the title and by virtue the ‘monkey off their back’ everything gets a little more free flowing IMHO and Victor could well be prolific.
