Yeah for real. It used to be 1/3 that price but then I stopped running my business for 5 years and the cost of "new business" went up a lot. Wondering if I'm just buying into the sunken cost fallacy at this point. We will find out... Worst case scenario this is my last year in business and I sold a few nfts to fund it.

Honestly I think they do want to discourage people. They are the only underwriter for pedicab insurance that exists in the United States. The cost went up because pedicabbers are largely untrustworthy slimeballs, And they were operating with undisclosed motors attached, which typically makes the insurance cost a lot more. So now everybody pays as though they have a motor attached. Fucking assholes
