Was recommended this recently too, haven't started yet. 

Realising though slowly, being a generalist is of great value. Many a times, you're able to see the bigger picture quicker than others.

yep. generalists definitely tend to be better founders. perhaps the trick is to specialize early in one’s career and slowly go broad. wdyt?

That is unfortunately true (although maybe not for management / execs)

But that's the eternal dichotomy between entrepreneurs and employees

companies unfortunately seldom hire for generalists though.
