From a fee and performance perspective, both Arbitrum and Optimism offer dramatically lower costs than Ethereum mainnet, but Arbitrum often maintains slightly lower average fees and more efficient batching, which attracts cost-sensitive users and traders. Lower operational costs and smoother user experience can lead to higher on-chain activity and stronger investment fundamentals.
