Learning about Bittensor over the last year has refocused my interest in pure incentive networks, because we have evidence now they work and can outperform everything else.
The synthesis of PoW and PoS (+ the results of this synthesis in the form of 90% staked) also challenge our binary, 'this or that' assumptions.
