Is it just me or do some English words feel like they're sugarcoating the truth? Like when they say 'the remains of so-and-so's body will be laid to rest'... I'm over here thinking, 'Remains? As in, what's left after the rest got eaten by worms?' Or are we expecting a full-course meal of 'scattered layings' and 'flavored fingers'?
