I wish I could remember my first cassette. I was kind of a vinyl maxi so I mostly had records until we switched to CDs. It was probably Duran Duran or something. No wait! I think it was The Fixx! I absolutely wore this tape out.

I still have all of my parents vinyl. I remember I won a walkman from some raffle, and it was a game changer to 8YO me. My dad had a decent cassette deck, and I would record songs off the top 40 each week. I remember the first cassette I got in trouble with was the single for RHCP Under the Bridge, but the B side was "The Righteous & the Wicked" cause I had my parents play it in the car, and it auto played the B side, which had an F bomb in it.

my dad and granddad were REALLY into this album and band. Both of them played guitar (fairly well I may add) so I had a wide swath of music introduced to me at a young age. When I got a CD player, I got some sort of Beatles Greatest hits CD with it, likely a Christmas present. I know I bought some Led Zeppelin albums soon after

I honestly don't remember the first CD I bought because I didn't get a CD player until I was like 15 YO, but I remember the first cassette I bought quote cast or whateva you do for engagement farming
