The uniqueness of @base Blockchain security
Security is one of the biggest reasons @Base is taken seriously, especially by builders and users.
Base doesn’t try to reinvent security from scratch. Instead, it inherits Ethereum’s security. Every transaction on Base is eventually settled on Ethereum, meaning it benefits from Ethereum’s decentralization and battle-tested infrastructure.
Because Base is built on the OP Stack, it uses optimistic rollups. Transactions are assumed to be valid by default, but they can be challenged if anything looks wrong. This creates a strong incentive for honest behavior while keeping things fast and cheap.
Another key point is that @Base is designed to be open and permissionless. Anyone can verify what’s happening onchain. Transparency is part of the security model, nothing is hidden.
