notes from a rare “web2 to crypto” talk with @imran and bobby of dupe.com TLDR he saw @nikitabier (one of their advisors) talk about Believe app, thought oh must be another Nikita growth hack let me try it out $dupe hits $6M market cap immediately talks to lawyers “then i started paying attention to possibilities because of enthusiasm from crypto; we saw a few paths where a web2 company with PMF can enter crypto in the right way. it would be dif if we were a day zero product. what I’m mostly excited about is: 1) bringing our MAUs into crypto with seamless UX to incentivize meaningfully daily or weekly actions that we care about with tokens 2) we don’t currently curate best products or dupes, but using tokens as commission for curation is an exciting way to level up our homepage and end user experience 3) obviously cross border commerce gets unlocked, etc.” for founders outside of crypto, use tokens as a way to incentivize people to come and use the product in meaningful ways

Yeah I'm much more bullish on this direction than the other one which is more prevalent right now (getting crypto people excited about your product) web2 businesses finding ways to use crypto to unexpectedly reward their users is super cool and can onboard a lot of people imo, need to meet them where they're at
