your daughters are lucky to have you. answer may depend on how you define success:
my parents loved me unconditionally, encouraged my curiosity, and never held me back from taking risks or the "advanced" path, but they always let me learn lessons the hard way. bc of that, i have grit and humility that drive what i do.
