I’ve been reading the reflections on NFT.NYC and I relate so much. It’s more than just a conference. As an artist who often feels in a niche, being surrounded by people who think like me & get excited about the same things is inspiring, energizing, gives hope. That’s one of the reasons it hurt so much not to be there this year. It’s also why I prepared and looked forward to it so much. I live in an environment where most people don’t really understand what I do. Many don’t even know. On top of that, add the usual challenges of life + living in a region of ongoing violent conflict (which could be a blog post of its own). It’s easy to lose motivation. Easy to get caught up in the general mood and feel like it’s all pointless, just a hobby, with no future.

But being around smart and creative people from the community, talking about the things we care about, seeing what others are building—that’s oxygen. After the last 2 NFT NYCs, I told myself I want to hold on to that feeling, that energy, and carry it with me into the everyday. Since NFTNYC24, I’ve done a lot. I’m proud. I worked on several dynamic art projects, some in collaboration with friends and collectors. I invested time and energy into what matters to me. Even when I forgot the “why” at times, there was always something to bring me back. So what am I trying to say? Try to hold on to that feeling—the one that comes from being with people, from sharing art. Try to put the noise of everyday life aside and just keep creating, no matter what. In the end, it feels good. See you next year at NFT NYC 2026! 💫 GM
