A big day was yesterday — for the first time, our 9-year-old daughter went to the store all by herself to buy milk. It all started as a joke, but turned into something epic — complete with raiding the piggy bank and counting her savings. She had more than enough for a pack of milk for our pancake morning and to treat herself to some sweets.
