The rise of liquid staking derivatives (LSDs) reshapes how investors approach yield. By unlocking liquidity from staked ETH and other assets, LSDs enable composability across DeFi. However, risks of centralization and systemic shocks remain. As LSD protocols grow, their governance and diversification strategies become critical. The dominance of a few protocols could create both opportunities and vulnerabilities in DeFi.
