Farcaster is a cool app and has the ability to create authentic online/web3 social interactions. Despite coining-nfts I believe that bidding on casts is a transactional medium that can create more evenly distributed wealth affects far better than X or Instagram could. It’s pretty cool to see people post things and give their audience a chance to decide if there’s any value in what they’re saying. It doesn’t even need to be deep sometimes it’s just stupid and fun. The 'Coffee' cast was about doing something fun and experimental. Looking at outcomes it was wholesome people sharing their various different brews on the tl as well as accounts that don't receive many interactions on their profiles (like myself) getting to bid on their casts was cool. As far as the experiment went; >3hrs went by with no interactions >somene recasts >I bid $5 >blows up (by fc standards i guess) >bidding like crazy >fc crashes for me, app wont load >1/30 attempts for Bids going through >@ksa does a similar one for "redbull" >that blows up >have to top up wallet >capped it >I now have 300+ worthless coffee casts lol It was funny when someone was like "you missed me!!" After I just spent 9 attempts bidding on their cast.. From a different angle I think that a word of mouth interaction with a non user to the likes of "Some guy bought my cast so I could grab a coffee" Its likely to start more conversations amongst non-fc users that might entice them to use the app more than a pitch like "have you seen what this app can do" imo Tldr I'm working for my bags The future is purple **If I missed you and you're in past the cut off and thinking "he's forgotten about me" just cc me in the original cast and I'll still bid it.
