CANONICAL BLOCK. The term “Canonical Block” refers to the block that has been accepted by the network as the “official” block, even though there have been other blocks presented. This acceptance is achieved through the use of the consensus mechanism. In QuaiNetwork's PoEM (Proof-of-Entropy-Minima) consensus, an uncle block with a higher hashrate (lower entropy) than the proposed block would actually become the canonical block.

What makes QuaiNetwork different?🤔 Sharded architecture for unlimited scale: Many blockchains struggle with congestion and high fees when activity increases. but Quai’s multichain structure spreads transactions across multiple execution shards, ensuring that network performance improves as more users join. This means we have low fees and high speed, even under heavy load onchain.
