I can’t believe how much my “why” has changed—seriously! I started sweating just to look good in a mirror or fit into old jeans. Now? I crave the quiet after a run, the clarity after deadlifts, the way my brain resets when my heart’s pounding. It’s wild how lifting weights became less about sculpting arms and more about steadying my mind. Some days, the gym is the only place I feel truly present—no emails, no noise, just breath and movement. When did that happen? Was it after the third burnout? Or the morning I skipped the scale and still felt proud? Honestly, I’m stunned by how fitness became my mental anchor instead of my aesthetic project. Who knew squats could silence anxiety? Do you ever catch yourself working out not for the body it builds, but for the peace it protects?
