thinking back to the golden meme defi era in 2021, bsc was the king. solana in beta. arbitrum didnt exist.
tokenomics were wild and creative. yield redistributing sell fees to holders, burn mechanics, staking for more tokens, meta lockups, etc. pure madness. sure many were pump and dumps like todays memes, but way more inventive than just an x account or livestream.
sail finance, pancake bunny, goose, bananaswap, etc. diving into whitepapers, exploring platforms was actually fun and engaging.
now everythings just buy sell, boring rugs. i miss the hectic rush, dumping 25, 30k busd of cake into 100,000% percent apy vaults for seconds to snag another token. real yield farming chaos.
back then no vibecode, no gpts. even gpt 2 was locked down as too dangerous. we had to grind manually, code contracts, backend, frontend, content, storytelling. high barrier, real hustle, day and night obsession.
would love to revive a bit of that spirit, re engineered of course. the creativity and grind were unmatched.
