Silence used to scare me. I thought it meant something was wrong. Now I crave it. The world is loud — everyone shouting opinions, chasing attention. Silence is where I actually hear myself. It’s not emptiness; it’s clarity.
Ethereum’s future might not be about speed, but about security and composability. L2s can handle throughput — the base layer just needs to remain credible. Ethereum’s greatest strength isn’t performance — it’s persistence.
Everyone talks about staking — but the real endgame is restaking. EigenLayer figured out that security is a marketplace, not a single-layer function. Now hundreds of protocols can borrow Ethereum’s security without spinning up their own validator networks. This changes the economics of blockchains completely. Restaking is to crypto what cloud computing was to the internet: it makes security scalable, rentable, and composable. It also introduces new risks — and that’s why it’s powerful.
Silence has become my favorite sound too.
