Think instead about ethereum validators opting-in to additional duties and reusing their staked eth as a bond to ensure good-faith participation and performing duties. Eigenlayer facilitates re-bonding stake by acting as a withdrawal address intermediary, encumbering the stake with additional set of slashing rules.

Happy to engage here rather than X. Feels gross logging in to fka Twitter these days. Peter is not wrong that arbitrary pruning is bad for the network, but he is wrong implying Besu as doing this by default. This is an undocumented experimental feature. Of course hyperbole gets engagement though.
