I believe the media's treatment of Putin and war in Ukraine mirrors the psychology of a family with an abusive parent. In such a family, energy is focused on trying to control the abuser. Adjusting to appease them, Avoiding doing the "wrong thing" to activate them. But these behaviors solidify the abuser's control.
