it sucks that the ways to get attention and the ways to build something with staying power are almost completely at odds

the reason crypto has taken so long to become legitimate is largely because social media algorithms dictate what even gets attention; their power laws reward short term greed, drama, engagement farming, and extravagant promises (which all have the unfortunate side effect of attracting bottom of the barrel users, and a lot of bots)

meanwhile, legitimate builders often toil away in relative obscurity 

how do we fix this?

The current solution is to pay influencers who are great at getting eyes on their content, to promote your product.

And with the creation of AI influencers (not real people) you can get them to promote literally anything 🤷‍♂️

I just think it's a communal effort

The average person doesn't necessarily care about building. They are just consumers. They want something new to consume.

So you have to essentially trick them into consuming your content via influencer.

Influencers are the bridge. 

So unless you can discover a way to make the average person interested in building, they are going to need a bridge to get to your content 

Some people are good at building 
Some people are good at promoting
Most are good at consuming.

But it takes all 3 to be successful

right. this is the Problem.
