Currently my favorite way to learn Use an AI (opencode.ai here) to give me just instructions, no editing permissions I write all the code by hand I start small and expand until I build what I want to achieve It feels so good

was thinking the other day about how good it would be to do AI assisted coding that just plans out changes and keeps track of what's in every file for you to actually implement like a more fine-grained list of tasks related to an issue or higher level ticket in a project tracker

You should definitely look at opencode then! I use the /init command to give it specific instructions that are saved to an agent.md file, and from there when I set out a goal it creates a checklist first and goes through it point by point. It’s excellent!

nice, the intellij ai assistant stuff has a lot of good things in it, I get it free with my all products pack so I've been using that every now and then
