Would make a text only client if I had the bandwidth + money for infra I deleted TikTok forever ago, instagram I have to keep hidden Me and infinite video feeds don’t mix; hope that’s not the direction Farcaster is going but it makes sense in terms of adoption and growth Farcaster is an open and permissionless network, but it is not free

Algorithmic video feeds and humans in general don’t mix in general. They are addictive in pursuit of growth and they work. It will work for FC too but it will come at a cost that most people have just decided to accept.

kinda like how i feel about img only - although i've got the bandwidth, not the money lol however, questioning everything atm. farcaster (app) seems to want to be all of it right now. some people built mini apps (i.e. dash) and i'd rather see these ones pushed/thriving as independent clients, with some sort of backing from merkle (perhaps?), than getting eaten by the main app of the protocol.

I think @jacek said he was making a client which was reddit styled. My thought is it'd be more text based if that's the case? I haven't seen the beta, so just commenting based on speculation here.
