The reason RAM prices have quadrupled is because an enormous amount of not-yet-manufactured memory has already been “purchased” with money that doesn’t exist, to be installed in GPUs that haven’t been built yet, destined for data centers that haven’t been constructed, powered by infrastructure that may never come online — all to meet a demand that doesn’t exist and to chase profits that are mathematically impossible.
