On October 31, Romania’s National Gambling Office (ONJN) placed the prediction-market platform Polymarket on its blacklist, stating that it provides gambling services in the country without a license. The regulator clarified that wagers made in either fiat or cryptocurrencies are considered gambling activities and therefore require proper authorization.

Ripio, a Latin American crypto exchange with more than 25 million users, has introduced wARS, a stablecoin pegged to the Argentine peso. The token is available on Ethereum, Base, and World Chain, allowing international transfers without relying on banks or converting to USD. Ripio also plans to launch additional stablecoins for other Latin American currencies to improve regional cross-border payment infrastructure.
