The things you see in memory care/nursing facilities can be downright despicable. I could easily type 20+ paragraphs of what I witnessed in 10 years in the field. So many people are just abandoned in these places. Many family members are unable to handle what comes with dementia/Alzheimer's. It's incredibly difficult for them, but not an excuse to not visit.
