Projects using mainstream tech generally have lower historical security incident rates compared to those using custom, untested frameworks. However, this does not guarantee zero risks—vulnerabilities can still occur due to poor implementation (e.g., incorrect smart contract coding). Checking if the project has passed third-party audits further confirms security, even with mainstream tech.
