The most misunderstood thing about Web3 is that it’s not about replacing Web2—it’s about absorbing it. Every major social platform is already experimenting with blockchain tools, even if they don’t advertise it. Meta with NFTs and digital identity. YouTube with tokenized memberships. Reddit with community points. And now TikTok is exploring creator monetization via crypto rails. Web3 was never going to win by building a separate world for crypto natives—it will win by making blockchain invisible to the average user, just like TCP/IP is invisible today. The crypto projects that survive will be the ones that stop marketing “blockchain” and start marketing value: ownership, portability, incentives, and global reach. If you’re still building for “crypto users,” you’re already losing.
