Ida Lovelace becomes the first computer programmer. Ida Lovelace, an English mathematician and countess, is considered the first computer programmer. In October 1842, he wrote and published for the first time an algorithm to be implemented on Charles Babbage's analytical engine to calculate the Bernoulli number.
