Seeing less SOL returned when closing token accounts recently?
That’s because Solana is rolling out Reduced Rent.
Newer token accounts can hold less SOL for rent exemption, so there may be less SOL to reclaim when they’re closed.
Meanwhile, some older accounts may still hold SOL from the previous higher rent requirements — which can create reclaimable excess SOL.
