most online communities/DAOs focus too much on members/participants/contributors of rn and not enough on alumni and past contribution (also future!). network effects can be leveraged in almost limitless ways and the focus is too narrow and short-sighted in the current state.

retaining contributors should always be a priority so long as it makes sense for both parties, but embracing growth and positive exits can provide innumerable dividends to the org if the relationship is supported pluralistically.
