My portrait by Luke Shannon (@ls) 🧚🏼♀️
It is accompanied by an essay I contributed to the book covering Shannon's latest body of work, Replacement Character, currently on view at Heft Gallery in New York City.
The portrait was composed after a series of questions Luke asked me around vulnerability, presence and selfhood; it all started with "when do you feel most seen?" — and he found a way to weave that conversation perfectly into this final portrait. To say I'm honored is an understatement. ❤️
