Success! At the age of 50, I ran my first marathon yesterday. It was the most challenging physical experience of my life. I crushed the first 20ish miles at a sub-9 minute pace before getting obliterated by the proverbial wall. Had to walk/run the final 6.2 miles.
Still hoping to do a sub-4 hr race in the future.
