Great thread. I don’t see much from the other point of view ‘oh you’ve built this great thing, but now it’s too successful so we are going to move the goal posts’. I think it should be very carefully thought through on the knock on effects that could stop people building in the future.
I’m building a venue for exactly this on ethereum. Great to see this discussion showing it’s going to be needed. I think the challenge will be getting app layer projects to realise that disagreement etc will not burn any social / political capital
AWS us-east-1 is down again. Half the internet just broke. Signal's having a sleep in. Even AWS support is down so you can't complain about AWS being down This is what renting your infrastructure gets you. One DNS hiccup and millions suddenly realize they don't control anything. Some Ethereum validators run on AWS. But while other services are down, Ethereum keeps producing blocks. That's the difference between using infrastructure and depending on it
