Just PSA that it's ok to build tools to make web user's lives easier. I simply offered a potential solution to an already acknowledged problem of not being able to SIWF without a phone on web. The fact that "most farcaster users are on mobile" is irrelevant to that.

I think our web app is pretty good. :) 1. Having people import a seed phrase into an untrusted Chrome extension is bad security. 2. We'd like to figure out a way to make web SIWF smoother / not require a phone, but it's a bunch of work and relative to all of our other priorities—and since 85% of usage is mobile—probably not worth prioritizing right now.

While I agree with the sentiment, exporting/importing a seed phrase isn’t the right answer either. It introduces complexity and a massive security vector. What I will say is that conversions for non-Warpcast web apps are being hurt by this mobile-only sign-in flow. Anecdotally, I’ve gone to try several apps. My phone is in the other room, meh too lazy to get it- I’ll try it later. Spoiler: I never try it later.

i regularly switch between web and mobile and most times when i switch back to web i am already signed out and i have to sign in again with my mobile which is pretty frustrating because it requires me using a vpn for the task, if not for this i think id spend more time on web.
