I for one, do not actually think creator coins are an inherently bad idea.
but it’s clear when onboarding established creators charts always look like the image below.
I think for creator coins to truly be successful we need to see the rise of a new type of creator.
One where their token is their primary revenue generation model, not a secondary one.
The best traders find things others haven’t discovered yet. They hop on trends before they’ve reached escape velocity.
In order for creator coins to work, I think we need to see a similar phenomenon. Traders will bet on the undiscovered potential of a creator, not their existing fame.
This will also allow for these creators to make mistakes and learn how the game operates before having a 7 figure market cap coin, which will create a foundation that is not easily shaken.
Not to mention they will have already cultivated a strong base of holders that won’t allow for the same volatility we’ve seen thus far.
These things take time to come about forever, and the base team is in the arena trying things.
In some ways these initial bumps are necessary to flesh out the idea and figure out what works and what doesn’t .
But, if there’s one thing sure in my mind it’s that the first 9 figure creator coin will likely not be from anyone we’ve heard of today.
