- 2013 - The GSW Revolution:
➤ Gentry, Sahai, and Waters introduced the GSW scheme - a game-changer -> this scheme made FHE conceptually simpler and more elegant
➤ Unlike previous schemes, GSW used the "approximate eigenvector" method - a clever mathematical trick that eliminated the need for complex operations like key switching and modulus switching!
- 2014-2015 - Breaking the Speed Barrier:
➤ FHEW scheme by Ducas and Micciancio achieved the impossible: bootstrapping in less than a second (crazy value - around 0.5 seconds!)
- 2016 - Two Revolutionary Approaches:
➤ CKKS scheme - the first FHE to work with real and complex numbers
Used "approximate arithmetic" - trading perfect accuracy for amazing speed
➤ TFHE scheme - Improved on FHEW with bootstrapping under 100 milliseconds!
➤ From 30 minutes to 0.1 seconds - that's the power of innovation! 🚀
