There’s some dissonance how ppl resent “coin creator has to dump to make money” with also imo the most interesting thing abt tokens being their volatility and potential for being “equity in an idea”. Like the incentive alignment from a dev/creator holding the token should be a feature not a bug. Fee on volatility is cool but still does not feel like real incentive alignment, moreso a revenue stream

The uncharitable interpretation would be that fee on volatility is actually a perverse incentive.

Maybe launchpads could allow deployers to easily vest tokens on preset schedules and the UI could give coins a score based on the fairness of the schedule.

As long as the incentive structure is based on trading instead of holding, the people who are successful at launching tokens will be volatile. I’m not against trade incentives, I just think that they need to be used in concert with something else if you want long-game creators to use them.

I’ve always seen token volatility as a feature, alignment, not exit liquidity.
