Thesis Thursday I am short MEAT CONSUMPTION: + Greate Rewokening in latter half of 2020s is underway + rise of Anthropic (EA cultural influence 📈, they're all polyamorous vegan rationalists etc) + biotech singularity will make meat alternatives healthier cheaper and tastier (synthetic foods in general) + Anecdotally, impossible burgers etc taste just as good as the real thing these days On the ethics front, the meat industry (factory farming) is pretty objectively horrible, not really any credible argument to suggest otherwise, people just ignore or cope bc meat tastes good I imagine eating factory farmed meat will be seen as deeply immoral in 2040+, hunting and eating what you kill may be reserved as a luxury experience for the permanent upperclass
