Base (an Ethereum L2) said theyāre exploring a āBASEā network tokenānothing finalized, shared at BaseCamp (Sept 2025). On Farcaster, thereās no official token yet; most āairdropā talk refers to ecosystem campaigns/Frames rewarding active users. Bottom line: build on Base, distribute via Farcaster; keep casting on Warpcast, interact with Frames, and maintain a clean onchain footprint for potential eligibility.

š¦š¦ Whatās been triggering me lately isnāt meme coins, but the fact that tradfi banks and asset managers that used to be anti-crypto are now opening the doors wide. Vanguardāmanaging around US$10 trillionāfinally lets clients buy crypto ETFs and mutual funds (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP) on their platform after years of keeping their distance. On top of that, Bank of America announced that starting January 5, 2026, their advisors can actually recommend crypto products to wealth-management clients, not just execute orders. Meanwhile, a CoinShares report shows that US spot Bitcoin ETFs have already pulled in over US$90 billion, and corporate treasuries hold more than 1 million BTC. For me, that combo is wild: prices can still swing hard, but the infrastructure is slowly looking like a ānew layerā of the global financial systemāonly now people enter through ETFs and regulated products, not just degen exchanges.

š¦š Base just launched an official BaseāSolana bridge, secured by Chainlink CCIP and Coinbase infrastructure, letting assets move back and forth between Base and Solana on mainnet. Now you can bring SOL and SPL tokens over to use/trade directly in Base apps, or move Base assets out to Solana, and the bridge is being rolled out in apps like Zora, Aerodrome, Virtuals, Flaunch, and Relay.

In December 17, 2025, Coinbase will host a āSystem Updateā livestream where Brian Armstrong and the team will reveal their 2026 product strategy and likely launch major features that have been teased and leaked, such as integrated prediction markets and even stock/ETF trading inside the app, signaling Coinbaseās ambition to evolve from a pure crypto exchange into a more comprehensive, all-in-one financial platform.
In my view, the System Update is exciting because it could turn Coinbase into an all-in-one finance platform, but Iād still wait for the official details and real impact on users (especially outside the US) before making any moves, so I donāt get carried away by pure FOMO.
