Once, there was a wealthy and well-known merchant. He owned several successful companies and made million-dollar deals. People admired him for his intelligence and power.
But the merchant had one habit: he was never satisfied. No matter how much money he earned, he wanted more. He worked day and night, ignored his family, and treated people only as tools for profit.
One day, during an important business trip, he collapsed from exhaustion. In the hospital, a doctor told him something simple but shocking:
“You may be rich, but your body is poor. Money cannot buy back time or health.”
Lying on the hospital bed, the merchant realized he had missed his children growing up, lost real friendships, and sacrificed his health for numbers on a screen.
After he recovered, he changed his life. He still worked—but wisely. He spent time with family, helped others, and learned to rest. Surprisingly, his business did not fail. It grew stronger.
