Most of what we'd like to "own" in web 3 (i.e., content, social graph) aren't really stuff that makes sense to own. Content is meant to be consumed and shared. Social graph is intrinsically relational, interpersonal. It's unobvious that sovereign ownership makes sense for either.

The opposite of love is not hate; it's irrelevance. This is especially true for brands, communities, & culture. And that's perhaps 80% of what layer 1 blockchains are about. (The tech differences are minuscule for the scale at which they operate today.)

personally think alt-feeds make sense, but the UI/UX needs to be made such that it actually feels like switching to different and each self-contained feeds. Twitter list don't do it imo.

Why not hide even the username? 100% anonymized pure content (probably in the form of screenshot essays). Too often than ideal, people read and evaluate content based on who wrote it --> circle of attention farming and personal brand aggrandization.
