The questioner also does not seem to get that Greenland is not the only location in the world with ice, and that since the oceans are global and connected, sea level changes are based on changes in the extent of land-based ice throughout the world. It should go along with another question: what was Antarctica doing while Greenland iced over? Greenland, while it is very important due to size (world’s largest island by far) as well as its Arctic latitude, is not nearly as big a store of ice as Antarctica is.
