Farcaster was a 'fun' experiment, but I feel like I no longer fit here. Things that have bothered me: * taking away usernames * taking away channels from people who have paid * the neutering of channels (unless you pay!) * the constant onslaught of token spam * the constant onslaught of apps, frames, etc * removing the different clients from the webpage * basically forcing all clients to validate through warpcast => client monopoly * pro accounts (lmfao, I legit thought this was a joke/meme) probably way more that I'm forgetting. Without farcaster I would not have discovered Crypto Leftists however, which has been imo the only real shining light in a sea of capitalist/exploitative dogshit that is crypto culture. It has also been very refreshing to meet other like-minded leftists along the way. But I don't vibe with the culture of this app whatsoever. To me it's everything that crypto-haters/skeptics say is repulsive about crypto. I know that I'm basically nobody so who cares, but I'm done cya!

China is not a capitalist country, its a mixed economy with the planned socialist sector predominant, and the communist party standing above the political system. The backbone of the economy is state ownership and socialist planning. 24 / 25 of the top revenue companies are state-owned and planned. 70% of the top 500 companies are State-owned. The largest bank, construction, electricity, and energy companies in the world, are CPC controlled entities, subject to the 5 year plans laid out by the central committee. You are coping. You should be asking why the USA, the richest country in the history of this planet, has a higher wealth disparity than during the French Revolution.

I do not own a business or factory or real estate to make me money off the labor of others. I have to sell my own labor for a wage/salary. I am part of the exploited class. I work in a dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. I have no say at my job. I have no access to the surplus profits of my labor.

The fact is, China has pulled hundreds of millions out of abject poverty and has led the country to near parity with the US in basically 25-30 years (88% poverty to 0.7% according to the world bank). 90% home ownership rate, 97% literacy rate, etc ... Standards well above the US.

Considering the never-ending declassified CIA documents of coups, assassinations, color-revolutions, anti-communist propaganda, sino-phobia, dictatorships, political meddling, etc ... I'm extremely dubious of Western portrayal of anything about China. Nobody is saying any country is a utopia and without issues, but I find it hard to swallow a lot of the exaggerated claims by the US and the Western media
